Maker of the month / Tim Stephens Art

My artwork is inspired by the rich character of local landmarks, landscapes, and nature—often weaving these elements together into a single piece.

Drawing on a wide range of influences, my current style blends a love of natural forms and contours with expressive detail and a generous dash of humour. I work primarily with fine-liner pens to create outlines, textures, and shadows, then bring each piece to life with ProMarker ink pens, paint pens, and acrylics. Some works are digitally coloured, depending on the finish I envision for the final piece.

Alongside creating original artworks for public release, I take on private commissions and collaborate on a variety of commercial illustration projects. I have over 25 years of experience as a professional artist and illustrator, and am based in Clevedon.

In 2024, I was honoured to be voted Clevedon Artist of the Year by the public, in partnership with Polodango Art Gallery. I hope you enjoy exploring my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
